Analysis:After Tottenham's sensational win over Liverpool yesterday Bolton are now at the foot of the Premiership and they will be eager to win this match when they welcome Manchester City to the Reebok Stadium.
Bolton have managed just two wins in ten Premiership games and their bad run continued in midweek when a last minute goal made sure that their woeful run continues.
Manager Gary Megson is eager to get a win as he is under tremendous pressure to keep his job and knows only a win can save him now. They do however go into this match in knowing that they have lost just once in their last seven meetings with Manchester City.
But they have problems scoring goals as they have find the net only 8 times this season and a goalless draw cannot be ruled out here as well.
As for Manchester City they continued their inconsistent performance as they were beaten by Middlesbrough in midweek, just after beating Stoke last weekend.
Despite that they have scored the most number of goals - 23 than any other team and will be hoping that their strikers can find the next today. But the statistics are not good for City as they have failed to find the target at the Reebok Stadium since securing a 1-0 win in December 2004.
With regards to the team news, Bolton are likely to keep faith with the same side that played with Everton in midweek. Megson has no fresh injury or suspension concerns to worry about and will be hoping that lady luck will be with his side ahead of this match.
The only decision Megson needs to make is whether to keep Johan Elmander alongside with Kevin Davies up front or switch the Sweden international back to the right of midfield.
For the visitors, they will welcome back Pablo Zabaleta after he completed his suspension since being sent off against Liverpool and missing their last three games. He will start at right back while Brazilian Jo could come back for selection ahead of this match. He may be rushed back from his treatment of a tonsillitis as his replacement Daniel Sturridge is a doubt with an ankle complaint.
