Analysis:Big match of the weekend sees Juventus welcoming A.S Roma who are winless in their last three games while Juventus have won their last two games battle it out against each other.
Juventus will not want to drop points here as Inter and A.C Milan are moving ahead of them in the standings. This encounter usually favous Juventus but in this match today any outcome is possible especially since A.S Roma will not want to lose for the fourth match running now.
The home side managed to beat Real Madrid as well as Torino in the derby and their crisis is already over it seems. Last Wednesday’s away victory at Bologna allowed them to move forward in the table, although Milan and Inter are still three and four points ahead respectively.
Roma have been struggling the past few weeks. Wednesday'a match with Sampdoria was called off due to rain so Lupi will still be under pressure when travelling to Piemonte. They are just one point above the relegation zone, they cannot afford to lose this match. They are already in their worst start in the last 10 years.
The good ness for Roma is that Mirko Vucinic should be back on Saturday because their suspension will apply to the game against Sampdoria, whenever that will be replayed.
For Juventus they have a long injury list as well but Ranieri can count on a strong squad which should offer enough resistance. Alexander Manninger has been outstanding while in midfield Tiago Mendes has been impressive as well. Ranieri should line up Alessandro Del Piero alongside Amauri, while Mauro Camoranesi is doubtful so Marco Marchionni looks set to start.
For Roma, Spaletti is hoping that Julio Baptista and Marco Cassetti will be fit to start but could be on the bench if unfit. Juan will start in defence while experienced Christian Panucci should be preferred to Cicinho. Totti will start upfront in a lone striking position.
