2008-09-21 - Hull City vs Everton
A Sports Betting Pick by Cruiser
Analysis:Hull City will be back in action after an eight days rest ready to take on Everton at home. Hull City had more than 7 days rest after beating Newcastle 2-1 while Everton were involved in the UEFA Cup action in midweek.
After losing their last home match against Wigan, they did well to come back and beat Newcastle 2-1 away from home. They paid the price for that win as Danny Guthrie was handed a red card for a reckless challenge on Craig Fagan. So, with Fagan on the sidelines with a broken leg, Brown has to choose who to promote to his striking line-up alongside Marlon King.
Geovanni, Caleb Folan and Dean Windass are hoping to start this clash as well as former Rangers man Daniel Cousin who has served his suspension.
The home side is also boosted with the availability of midfielder George Boateng and winger Richard Garcia but will still miss the services of Nick Barmby with a calf strain.
Everton could managed only a 2-2 draw in midweek and that match took its toll on David Moyes side. Striker Victor Anichebe is likely to be out after he was taken out in that game.
That means that James Vaughan is likely to get promoted alongside Aiyegbeni Yakubu if he keeps the 4-4-2 formation. Portuguese full-back Nuno Valente will be on standby as left-back Joleon Lescott also hurt his ankle in the UEFA Cup match.
Record signing Marouane Fellaini is back in the side after missing out against his former club but Motes are still without a number of players in his side such as Louis Saha (calf), Lars Jacobsen (dislocated shoulder), Steven Pienaar (ankle), Andy van der Meyde (hamstring) and Tony Hibbert (knee).
