Aston Villa will also hope to have striker John Carew, winger Ashley Young and central defender Curtis Davies back for this match after they underwent treatment since missing Villa's 3-1 win against Litex Lovech in the Uefa Cup first round first leg tie in Bulgaria on Thursday.
Both Carew (ankle) and Young (knee) were both injured in the 2-1 victory over Spurs on Monday Night Football while Davies was a late withdrawal against the Bulgarians with a swollen knee.
