Last year champions will be hoping to continue their unbeaten start to the season when they play the Bengals at Giant Stadium this weekend and since they are in the NFC east which also has Dallas, Philly and Washington, every win is vital as any kind of slip up could mean they miss out.
So far this season the Giants have won both of their games and the first one was against divisional rivals Washington when they won on the opening game of the NFL season with a 16-7 win and to be honest this was always going to be a hard game for them, as this division is a tough one to say the least and at the end of the day a win is what is important when playing in this division. Last weekend saw them win with ease beating the Rams 41-13 on the road, which of course is a nice win, but when you put into context and the fact they were playing the Rams and they are one of the worst teams in the league to be fair.
Cincinnati Bengals(0-2)
The Bengals are a team who know that with the Steelers in their division the chance of getting out as champions of the AFC North and pretty limited and even the playoffs would more than likely be out of their reach, but as we all know in sport if you get off to a good start then the confidence that brings can take you through the season.
However the Bengals have not started this way and are currently 0-2 after losing at the Ravens in week one 10-17 and of course the Ravens are in the same division as the Bengals so this was not the best of ways to start the season. Last week they would have hoped to put this right at home to the Titans but this wasn’t to be as they lost 7-24. So the big question is can the Bengals get their season started when they visit the current Champions of the NFL the New York Giants.
Verdict
At the end of the game it is possible that the season could petty much be over for the Bengals should they lose this game as 0-3 will be hard to turn round, so it could be said that this is a must win game for them. Also as I’ve already said with the division the Giants find themselves in, every game is a must win game.
Anyway I just cannot see past the Giants winning this game and the bookies feel the same way so the money line just doesn’t feel worth it. So the question to be asked if how much do you think the Giants can win by and the spread's I’ve seen are -7.5 and -13.5. The -7.5 is priced at around the 1.40 price and the -13.5 is just under even money so I guess it's down to the question of how good you think the Giants will be at home v a 0-2 team.
For me I think the Giants will win this game by about 10 so that would mean the only bet for me would be the -7.5 and that's the way I’ll be going.
So the Giants with -7.5 it is this time around, but if you feel super confidant about the Giants then go a bit higher.
