The Bears come into this game 3-4 which is very poor for a team that got all the way to the superbowl last year.
They were renowed for their defence last year and this defence just hasn't shown up so far this season. They have conceded an average of 23.6 points per game which is way too much for the Bears.
Things got better for them last week when they held the Eagles to 16 points at their own ground.
They have been up and down this year and have cost us punters some money by beating Green Bay away and losing to the Vikings @ home the week after.
Will the defence show up today to help the Bears notch a .500 record?

Detroit have had a great start to the season with a 4-2 record.
They have had some very good results including a 36-21 win @ Oakland, 20-17 win over the Vikings and they actually beat the Bears in week 4 37-27.
The Lions are giving up a massive 28.5 points per game which certainly needs to be sorted out.
John Kitna is the main man for this team and he needs to be at his best if the Lions want a result here. The Bears defence will pressure him and try to sack him on every opportunity.
The Verdict
Even though the Lions beat the Bears in week 4 by 10 points, I'm going with the Bears here. The Bears are at home on Sunday and this is a huge advantage.
Last week, it looked like the Bears that we have always known. They shutout the Eagles and gained a late winning TD on a great late drive.
